Kelly McArthur is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Kelly earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Brescia University (cum laude) and her Master of
Science in Social Work from University of Louisville (cum laude).
Kelly has worked in a variety of settings practicing the core values of social work: service, social justice, dignity and worth of the person, importance of human relationships, integrity, and
competence. With this foundation Kelly has a unique purpose and perspective when working with clients. This mindset comes from working with homeless youth, teaching life skills to young parents, working as a school social worker, and providing individual and group therapy in a community mental health agency.

Kelly has extensive experience treating people with severe mental illness, co-occurring diagnoses, severe depression, anxiety, grief, anger management, stress, OCD, grief, and PTSD. Kelly specializes in trauma-informed care and crises management. Kelly’s colleagues and clients describe her as an optimistic, down to earth, open, and honest person. She works from a strength-based and person-centered perspective. She believes that healing is a collaborative endeavor that requires compassion without judgment. Kelly is proficient in a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities to include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Exposure Therapy. Kelly’s primary goal is to empower clients to achieve their treatment goals so they may find peace and purpose in life.
