OUR APPROACH
Our approach to helping has served thousands of people in Kentucky over the last 24 years. We care, and it shows. Our professional counselors, therapists, and our psychiatric nurse practitioners will provide your behavioral health treatment in a confidential manner within our private setting. At our practice, you decide the treatment goals and we help you reach those step by step. Your trained professional will develop a trusting professional relationship with you that provides the foundation for counseling and therapy and will help you become the person you want to be. You will find that we help you right where you are and focus on the solutions in your life, not the problems. We have 5 local locations with KY professionals and have recently added a few telehealth providers available to all of our Kentucky clients. We enjoy taking pride in providing a service that you will recommend to your family and friends.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to provide high quality, compassionate, outpatient mental health care. We start that with live administrative staff (7-9) that answer our phones directly from 8:30am-5:00pm Monday through Friday. Yes, you can text us, submit an online contact for services, and of course, call us, and we will answer. It's that personal and private touch that you can trust. We want to make long lasting relationships with our clients regardless of how long they are in therapy initially. Many people come back months or years later, refer family and friends to us, and may revisit us for another round of therapy or a different reason all together.
OUR LOCATIONS
The next thing we do very well is provide a safe, trusting, clean, and modern environment for your visit in a good, safe neighborhood or business district. You can see all of our offices and locations online. We regularly update our furnishings, have regular cleaning services, and take pride in where we meet with you.
OUR PROVIDERS-The best PART!
The providers at Lexington Counseling and Psychiatry are all hired directly or approved by Paul Dalton. Paul has been helping others for over 25 years and is very selective on who he hires to help others in his name. In many cases, people have undergone hours of interviews, background checks, reference checks, and peer/assistant reviews to find the absolute best professionals we can. Although all of the providers at our locations are independent practioners with their own tax id and liability insurance and responsibility for your care, we work closely with them to provide a supportive environment, clinical consultation, and offer training to improve their professional skill set. Our organization attracts the best professionals in Kentucky by paying them very well, offering a calm, supportive and professional environment while treating them with dignity, respect, and as the professionals they are. We have the best therapists and APRN's in Kentucky. There is no one that can match our provider specialties, experience, depth of knowledge, and range of ages and areas of expertise.
WHAT WE CAN DO FOR YOU!
At Lexington Counseling and Psychiatry, we can help you develop goals and a plan to help you in a way that you decide. We meet you right where you are and focus on helping you solve your problems and issues. We don't focus on the problems. You have probably done that enough. You set the goals. We develop the plan together. We provide you objectives to meet them.
Through a trusting and caring relationship, in a nice, comfortable outpatient setting, we help you learn the skills you need. Our providers use their experience and expertise to help you solve these issues going forward and to gain indepenedence from us so you may solve whatever is happening in the future. This is an extremely important aspect of outpatient mental health, as some providers may just try to keep you afloat or may not have the ability to teach you how to help yourself going forward. Not here. Although we will always have a practice in Kentucky, as we have for 24 years and be available for you, it's really important that when you decide you've reached your goals, you are able to function in a way that you are proud of. Becoming dependent on a provider and needing to stay with them for years and years is not normally part of our plan. Sometimes it does take longer to solve some specific or unique issues and that's OK. We will never tell you how long to stay in therapy and we will never control that type of outcome and timeframe. You do.
Since we offer multiple types of providers, many times, you don't have to go anywhere else. At times, we serve an entire family through different provider types, areas of specialty, genders, and ages of our providers, and a comfortable fit for you. We work extremely hard to be the best in Kentucky. We hope to see you soon.
