New Client Tips for Our Frankfort Location

Our Frankfort office provides clinical counseling, psychiatric and medication management services and other assessments. If you need counseling, psychiatry or other assessment services, our Frankfort  location is here to help.

We're in Suite B, to the right as you enter the building. If you see Capital Smiles Dentistry (Suite A), you're close. We're across the hall. Please have a seat in the waiting room. There's no receptionist, so you don't need to check-in. Your therapist will meet you in the lobby at your appointment time.

Complete the new client intake paperwork before your first session. You can do this online through your patient portal. If you are unable to complete it online, we have paper copies in the waiting room.

If using health insurance, contact your insurer to ensure coverage. Some plans need preauthorization. Check your deductible or copay. If using EAP benefits, bring the authorization paperwork.

We prefer cash or check, but also accept credit, debit, and health savings account cards. Payment is due at the time of service.

Feeling anxious about your first session? That's normal! Relax, and we'll answer any questions you have.

The first session is different from future visits. It's a time for you and your therapist to get to know each other and plan how to proceed.

Each session will last about 55-60 minutes.

During the first session, your therapist may ask:

  • What are your symptoms?
  • Why are you seeking therapy?
  • What do you feel is wrong in your life?
  • Questions about your history, including childhood, education, relationships, current living situation, and career.

We are glad you are here! If you need anything please contact our main office at (859) 338-0466, or John Thacker, LPCC-S who is the office manager of this location.
